　　Part I Vocabulary ( 10 points, 0.5 point each)

　　Section A

　　Directions: There are 10 questions in this section. Each question is a sentence with one word or phrase underlined, Below the sentence are four words or phrases marked A, B, C and D. Choose the word or phrase that is closest in meaning to the underlined one. Mark the corresponding letter on your Answer Sheet.

　　Section B

　　Directions: There are 10 sentences in this section. There are four words or phrases marked A, B, C and D under each of the following sentences. Choose the one word or phrase that best completes the sentence. Mark the corresponding letter on your Answer Sheet.

　　Part II. Cloze Test (10 points )

　　Directions: For each numbered blank in the following passage, there are four choices marked A, B, C, and D. Choose the best one and mark your answer on your Answer Sheet.

　　Part III. Reading Comprehension (40 points )

　　Section A (30 points, 1.5 point each)

　　Directions: In this part of the test, there are four short passages for you to read. Read each passage carefully, and then do the questions that follow. Choose the best answer A, B, C, or D and mark the corresponding letter on your Answer Sheet.
