　　Obviously, in most cases the earliest teachers in our lives are our parents. They are generally the most involved in the development and education of us. They teach us to talk, to speak, and to have good behavior more than any professional teachers before we reach the real world. However, it is not completely true to say that parents are the best teachers even though they do a lot to us indeed.

　　Almost for sure our parents are the best teachers at the beginning of our lives, which actually corresponded to the parents’ role in nature. Parents are most committed and involved in teaching us. They have a kind of instinct of sacrifice selflessly their time and energy for the progress of us, and have great patience while passing down their knowledge to us. When we are in the preliminary school, it is not surprising that the parents are perhaps capable of teaching us almost every subject even better than teachers in the school. But this situation will not last long, during the second stage of our development--adolescence, this situation will change a lot. On the one hand, the knowledge in parents’ hand normally could not reach the increased demands of us, when we are in a difficult time, we usually inquire our teachers or even ask our best friends to get the help. In this time, the help?on studying coming from the parents are actually limited. On the other hand they become more conservative and can’t always be objective on modern affair along with the aging. Even though?parents are stillin the position of offering their advice,?we always take their advice with caution instead of totolly accepting it.?

　　Moreover, some parents are not good teachers in the beginning. As normal individuals, some parents more or less have some bad habits. Even though parents almost instinctively devote themselves to cultivating their offspring, the outcome might turn out to be disappointment. For all children tend to unconsciously and subconsciously imitate everything including bad habits from their parents. Another deficiency of parents as teacher is the fact that most parents are lack of common senses of education, we often observe some parents tend to pursue their cherished and failed dream by forcing their children to do, when their children do not follow the instruction, beating and scolding are always occurred between them. In fact, it is parents rather than their children that virtually disobey common senses.

　　In conclusion, while parents are not the ideal teachers, the wide-field children will generally need a great diversity of teachers in order to build a more accurate view of point, and parents barely provide the greatest emotional investment in their children and their life. Therefore, it is rather superficial to simply say that parents are the best teachers.
