　　1. as作“尽管/虽然/即使”讲时引导让步状语从句

　　1)副词+as+主语+be动词或实义动词

　　(1)Much as they miss their hometowns, they have to work in strange cities in order to make money to support their families. 虽然他们很想念自己的家乡，但是为了挣钱养家，他们不得不在陌生的城市工作。

　　(2)Hard as he works,?we are still worried that he will fail in the upcoming examination.

　　虽然他学习很努力，但是我们还是担心他在即将到来的考试中会不及格。

　　2)形容词+as+主语+be动词或实义动词

　　(1)Rich as they are, they feel that they are not happy as before.

　　虽然他们很富有，但是他们觉得自己不像以前那样幸福。

　　(2)Big and strong as he is, he?does not have courage to step forward?and face bad guys in?dangerous?situations. 虽然他高大强壮，但是他却没有勇气在危险的情况下站出来面对坏人。

　　3)实义动词+as+主语+助动词(备注：如果没有助动词，则需要根据时态和对应主语的单复数加do/does/did)

　　(1)Try as he might, Tom could not achieve satisfactory results.

　　尽管汤姆很努力，但是他却不能得到满意的结果。

　　(2)Try as he did, he didn’t find a good job as he expected.

　　尽管他努力了，但是他却没有找到他期望的好工作。

　　4)名词+as+主语+be动词(备注：句首的名词不带冠词)

　　(1)Boy as he was, he behaved like a girl. 虽然他是个男孩，但是他的举止却像个女孩。

　　(2) Girl?as she?is, she can gain equal access to education and work, and so on in this new country. 虽然她是个女孩，但是她可以在这个新国家获得平等的受教育和工作等机会。

　　2. while作“虽然/尽管”讲时一般放在句首引导让步状语从句

　　(1)While?I am willing to help you, I do not have much time available.

　　尽管我愿意帮助你，但是我没有多少时间。

　　(2)While he is richer than most people, he is not as happy as they are.

　　虽然他比大多数人富有，但是他却不像他们那样快乐。

　　3. even if=even though“即使;虽然”引导让步状语从句时可放在句首或句中

　　(1)Even if I had the talent to play tennis I couldn’t stand the pressure.

　　即使我有打网球的天资，我也承受不了那种压力。

　　(2)You have to let us struggle for ourselves, even if we may fail?in the process.

　　你得让我们自己去奋斗，即使在此过程中我们可能失败。

　　(3)Even though sometimes you may use a wrong word or tense, it doesn’t matter.

　　尽管有时你可能用错单词或时态，但这并不重要。

　　(4)He’s the best teacher, even though he has the least experience.

　　他虽然经验最少，却是最出色的老师。

　　4. 在引导让步状语从句时no matter what/when/where/how分别相当于whatever/whenever/wherever/however

　　(1)No matter what?(=Whatever)?happened, he would not mind.

　　不管发生什么事，他都不介意。

　　(2)Give me a call first no matter when (=whenever) you come.

　　不管什么时候来，都请你先给我打个电话。

　　(3)Some people enjoy themselves no matter?where (=wherever)?they are.

　　有些人无论在哪里都很开心。

　　(4)No matter how (=However) well you know this city, it is easy to get lost.

　　不论你多么熟悉这座城市，都容易迷路。
