地点状语从句

1.定义

地点状语从句（Adverbial clauses of place）用表示地点、 方位，通常由where、wherever等引导。可置于句首、句中或句尾。

2、分类

地点状语从句的引导词主要有：

①where，wherever（=no matter where）, everywhere, anywhere等

when表示“在……地方”

例如：Where there is a will, there is a way.

有志者， 事竟成。

wherever（=no matter where）表示“无论什么地方”

例如：You can sit wherever you like.

你喜欢坐哪儿都可以。

everywhere表示“到处”，

例如：Everywhere I went, people were angry or suspicious.

在我去过的所有地方，人们不是愤怒就是猜疑。

anywhere表示“到处”或“无论何处”，

例如：I will take you anywhere you like.

②我会带你去你喜欢去的任何地方

③地点状语从句与定语从句的区别 :

在于分句在句中作什么成分。作状语，则是状语从句；作定语修饰名词，则是定语从句

例如：Go back where you came from.

回到你来的地方去 (where引导地点状语从句）

Go back to the village where you came.

回到你来的那个村子里去。(where引导定语从句，先行词为village)
